Baby is ready to do yoga from any age, but mum needs to be around 6 weeks post- birth. And you can keep coming until baby is very mobile and would rather explore the room than do yoga.
WHEN ARE MUM & BABY ABLE TO START CLASSES?
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM CLASS
Class includes yoga for you, some for baby, and some for the two of you together. Come play and discover new ways of being together! There will be techniques for helping with baby’s wind, teething, and brain development. For you, there are ways to help rebuild strength and get to know your postpartum body. This class is a lot of fun and a great way to meet other mums on this incredible journey!
JESSICA’S BACKGROUND IN HER OWN WORDS
“I have been teaching ‘Mum and Baby Yoga’ since 2013 before even becoming a mom in 2015 and 2018. Some of what I offer is the same and some is constantly changing and evolving. Babies/all humans love habits and repetition so there are elements of that, but mostly, this class is meeting baby just as s/he is. Babies teach us so much about being present and for a little while, we practice… doing our best to leave the multitasking and the to-do lists behind, and just be with them.
It’s such a joy and honour to be a tiny part of your motherhood journey. I have had the privilege of watching new mamas blossom on the mat and babies grow in love and fun. There’s nothing like it. And I promise I know in the middle of the night, it doesn’t feel like it, but time goes too fast. This practice helps us to hold special memories and moments with these little ones. There’s nothing like it.”
BOOKING YOUR CLASS
Class is booked in a consecutive block of 3 on set dates, but if you know you can’t make a week, just pay for the weeks you intend to come as unfortunately missed classes can’t be carried over.
