Having studied under the guidance of several influential teachers around the globe since 2004, Eleanor is one of Ireland’s most notable teachers, and continues to further inspire the next generation of teachers during her Function & Flow teacher trainings with her husband Mark.
Alongside her weekly in-person Vinyasa Flow classes, this mum of two has a deep passion for supporting and empowering women who are preparing for the birthing process and parenthood through her pregnancy and active birth education classes; as of 2022, Eleanor is also a fully qualified Nurturing Birth doula.
Over the past 19 years, Eleanor has breathed life in to several yoga studios in Belfast, establishing safe and non-competitive spaces for practice while building a dedicated community of practitioners in the process. She has created and delivered specialist yoga programs for children, women, pregnancy, parenthood and mental health, teacher training courses and continued professional development modules, alongside creative and curated projects with local musicians and DJ’s to offer something truly unique to the yoga community she belongs to.
Eleanor’s accessible classes combine a deep commitment to the lineage of traditional yoga practice, alongside modern, functional-movement principals, intuitive and adaptive alignment cues, evolutionary movement and creative sequencing, subtle breath-work and mindfulness techniques.

I went to my first class in 2015 in Hill Street where Jess was my first ever teacher. I didn’t think I’d like yoga because I loved to challenge myself physically with high intensity exercise like HIIT or sprinting. Little did I know that yoga is full of its own challenges and after that first class I was hooked.
I moved to Brisbane, Australia in 2016 where I continued my yoga practice and in 2018 completed my 350hr yoga teacher training. I qualified in; hatha, vinyasa, yin, pre-and post-natal and myofascial roll and release. After qualifying I was lucky enough to teach in 2 beautiful studios in Brisbane and started to develop my own teaching style.
I work as an Osteopath full-time and started practicing out of the treatment room in 52 Hill Street in September 2020. I studied Osteopathy for 4 years in Oxford Brookes University, graduated in 2015 and have worked in Belfast, London and Australia.
My job as an Osteopath has a big influence on my teaching style. My classes focus on finding balance in the body, building strength, decompressing the spine and injury prevention. My classes are open to all, whether it’s your first ever class or you’re a seasoned pro, there will always be modifications to suit your needs.

My yoga journey began when I was in Art College (over 25 years ago). Although I didn’t know what it was really giving me at the time, I just knew I needed yoga in my life and I kept showing up. I completed my first teacher training in 2003, and have dabbled in so many paths on my yogic journey — starting with Hatha; following the structured approaches like Ashtanga and Bikram; letting loose with the flow of Vinyasa, and many more. I found something to love (and to loathe) in each! When I found Katonah Yoga® in 2015, I realised that all of this dabbling was a gathering of information that informs how I teach today.
When I’m teaching, I look at your characteristics and attributes, and using the frameworks of sacred geometry I’ll adjust in certain ways to help to fully activate your body, in a holistic approach. Another path that you’ll notice in my meditations and visualisations is Andean Spiritual Art which I came across on my first trip to Peru in 2012. This worldview of engaging with nature and energy work, has been a staple part of my daily practice ever since. I continue to learn from my teachers there in Peru and online, bringing elements of this into my classes and workshops.
You’ll find me teaching ‘Restore' here at Studio 52. It’s an active REST class. I bring many of the key elements of Restorative yoga and mix it with Katonah, Somatics, and Andean energy work. I hope you’ll come to rest and reset with me sometime soon.

As a teacher and student, Mark is continually learning and evolving, and appreciates all movement practices that offer him a presence of mind. His first love is Vinyasa Flow Yoga, which he’s practiced for many years; enjoying the creativity and freedom it has provided. His journey into movement eventually unearthed a slower-paced, anatomical style of yoga that helped him understand his own body more - introducing mobility and strength work to his practice has transformed how he moves and teaches.
With over 13 years teaching experience, Mark offers an intelligent and relevant style of yoga for students wanting to improve the way they move.
Fusing up-to-date body mechanics with a traditional asana practice has allowed Mark and his wife Eleanor to create Function and Flow Yoga. Mobility creates skilful control in posture work and the fluid transitions that are synonymous with Vinyasa Yoga, and what he has discovered is - the more space, strength, and support created in the body, the richer the meditative experience can be in the flow.
Along with weekly in-person classes, Mark’s passion is now offering annual Function and Flow Yoga teacher trainings that help build a community of critical thinkers and conscious movement specialists.

As a Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga and Pilates teacher, I am very much about the yin and yang in my practice, teaching and all aspects of life. It is not unusual for my day to begin with yoga and quiet mediation and end with a high impact Crossfit class – for me it is all about finding balance….and having fun! I love to weave the strength and stability of Pilates into the fluidity of a flow yoga practice to add an extra layer of challenge and focus. In my online classes, I will help you to develop a strong foundation from which to find your flow - there will be a focus on alignment, core strength and breath. I will encourage you to slow down, move with ease and explore what is possible in your own unique body.

A practice of breath. A practice of presence. Now more then ever this is what I come to the mat for and what I offer you when you practice with me. We practice in the now, literally going with the flow; and the more we practice this on our mats, the easier it is to do off it. I encourage you to bring a playfulness to our practice which allows us to achieve more than we thought possible and helps us feel the shared experiences we have despite the distance. And in this crazy time, what else can we do, but take it one day, one moment at a time. Let the practice of yoga bring us back to our breath, our own enoughness, and our connection.

I first began teaching in 2018 after a decade of practice. Having the practice of Yoga in my life has been integral to helping me maintain an attitude of gratitude for being an eternal beginner while deepening my relationship with this body & mind. Continuing my study of yoga & sharing it with others is a huge privilege and an honour.
In my offerings you can look forward to a breath-led steady but strong hot vinyasa flow with moments of challenge, play and stillness throughout into the ending meditation. I always ensure my offerings are suitable for all~level's - every body is welcome.

Following an early interest in gymnastics and dance, I began practicing Vinyasa Flow yoga as a teenager and quickly connected with its potential for creative movement. I attended my first yoga workshop at the time of an emotional crossroad, which awakened my own realisation of the mind-body connection. My fascination with this interplay was enhanced through academic study of Psychology and becoming a qualified Pharmacist. I trained in Vinyasa Flow yoga in London and continue to study various styles of yoga as well as holistic healthcare modalities.
As a teacher I playfully challenge my students physically through creative sequencing which emphasises alignment. I encourage students to find their edge but also to recognise that the heart of yoga is not how far you can go in a pose, or how flexible you are, but it is the attention to the breath, the mind and the self.
-
My practices are strong and challenging, but keenly attentive to the needs of our individual bodies. While I am here to guide you through class, I encourage you to follow your own path and listen to what your body wants and needs. My great passion for women's wellness, and the precious awareness of our body's unique requirements, have recently led me to complete my 100 hour yoga teacher training in Yin Yoga.
I like to leave my students feeling comfortably challenged and empowered, lighter in the mind, and connected to themselves in the present moment.

Indie’s classes combine a nurturing yet dynamic energy that balances strength with flexibility and hard work with relaxation. Calm and attentive, she enjoys challenging you to find a deeper level of your practice, whilst helping to guide you through the class with options to suit your ability. Expect to leave a session with Indie feeling relaxed and energised.
Indie’s career began in the corporate sector but she always felt like something was missing. It was only when she began to practice Yoga that she realised it was possible to calm her mind and open her heart whilst enhancing her physical capabilities. This transitioned into her wanting to share this practice and knowledge with others and that’s why she teaches Yoga today.
Indie qualified to become a Yoga teacher by completing the Teacher Training Course (TTC) at Sivananda Ashram, an intensive and transformative experience taught by direct disciples of Swami Vishnudevananda. The course is based on the traditional gurukula system (‘guru’s house’) in which students live and study with the teacher. Indie values the importance of continuously learning, adapting and evolving her classes to meet the needs of her students and looks forward to sharing her teachings with you.
