Yoga & Ayurveda - Living in Rhythm
WHEN: Sunday 5th February
ABOUT: The Celtic cross quarter festival of Imbolc at the start of February carries in its meaning “in the belly” a sense of the rebirth of nature. At the roots of yoga and its sister “science of life” Ayurveda there is a shared feeling about the potency of this time of year as daylight starts to visibly increase and the sun’s rising light supports the sprouting of the seeds, dreams and intentions you planted in the darkest days of December and early January.
Join Kate Smith Jamison for a 4 hour workshop at Studio 52 to catch the seasonal energy at this time and to explore how yoga and its sister Ayurveda can help you feel more aligned both with nature around you and with your own unique constitution.
Half of this workshop will be dedicated to talking about Ayurveda, its principles for knowing yourself better, its insights into seasonal food and daily rituals for all and its lifestyle guidance towards living in greater rhythm and harmony with who you are.
The rest of the workshop you will be guided through yoga practices - movement, breath, mantra & meditation - to catch the rebirthing energy of the season, stoke your inner fire and honour your intentions for the cycle of rising light towards the spring equinox.
